Watching Showtime

People is reporting (in an exclusive with her people) Mary-Louise Parker has adopted a baby girl from Africa. No details are being released, but the two were spotted out and about over the weekend getting ready for the Emmys.

Parker already has a son, a three-year-old named William (father is Billy Crudup). Here’s hoping they’ll release some pics soon of the threesome!

It’s been way too long since this episode aired, and I haven’t posted my notes from it yet, so I’m just posting my free-form notes from last Monday. Sorry for the lameness of it! I’ll put them after the jump so you only have to look if you really want to know what I think. Which I guess means I’m losing interest in the show, despite how good it is. I just wish Hank’s life could be more normal than it is, I think.

In what I was hoping would be the episode in which Nancy pulls herself up by her bootstraps, I was instead treated to the reality of someone in her situation. Spoiled most of her life (even in her first few years as a dealer), she’s now coming to the realization that it’s hard out there for a pimp! Struggling under the weight of two children, bills, and a shark above her in the form of U-Turn, her experience dealing is now much more akin to that of most dealers in America. And I love it!

With Mary Kate Olsen’s turn on Weeds beginning next week, here’s the full interview she did with Access Hollywood. Reviews of both Weeds and Californication’s latest episodes are coming soon, so bear with me!

Another week, another Hank disaster in the making, this time in the form of a benefit Meredith wants Hank to attend with her. She wants, after all, to be more than just bed-buddies, and to move their budding relationship out into the public sphere. Despite his protesting, you know Hank’s going to go, especially when he shows up at Karen’s house to surprise Becca with a cell phone and discovers Karen and Bill are attending the fundraiser as well. I don’t know which I love more, Becca’s excitement at getting a cell phone or Karen’s face when she discovers she and Hank are going to be stuck at the same party all evening!Once they’re at the fundraiser, Meredith runs off to talk to some of her friends, leaving Hank and Charlie to discuss the relationship. When Charlie’s assistant walks up (how I wish I could remember her name!), and lets him know she’s still there working, conversation quickly turns to the obvious sexual tension between the two, but Charile denies anything is amiss.

Just Jared shares an interesting pic of JRM at a music festival in Ireland this past weekend. There’s pics of him playing frisbee and hanging out with a young brunette, and looking somewhat sober but sometimes drunk. Didn’t he go to rehab earlier this year?

Now, for all I know he’s not drunk at all, just tired from having a good time at the festival. I’m just excited to get some pics of King Henry out and about between movies and tv shows!

Picking up exactly where the last episode left off, Nancy is on her front porch talking to Peter’s old partner at the DEA. Only he doesn’t know he’s Peter’s former partner, and is just trying to figure out if he went indie for a bit. Nancy tells him they broke up and she doesn’t know where he is, that she last spoke with him a few days ago when he brought her oranges. Is she convincing? No. Does she believe she’s convinced him? Completely.
