Friday Hotties: Californication Edition

Friday, October 26th, 2007

We’re starting a new Friday feature here at Watching Showtime, mostly because I’m writing-d out by the end of the week, what with all the show recaps I’ve been doing! Friday Hotties will feature some of the … well, the hotties from each of Showtime’s shows. Friday’s will also be the day for any actor bios I might find time to get up (probably starting next week).

For now, I bring you the hotties of Californication, as the last episode of the season airs this coming Monday.

First up is David Duchovny, who plays Hank Moody. He’s been hot since his days on X-Files!

‘August Rush’ Opens Nov. 21

Thursday, October 25th, 2007

august-rush-movie-stills.jpg

King Henry himself, Jonathan Rhys Meyers has a new movie coming out just before Thanksgiving, and Just Jared has some great movie stills. What’s the movie even about?

August Rush tells the story of a charismatic young Irish guitarist (Rhys Meyers) and a sheltered young cellist (Kerri Russell) who have a chance encounter one magical night above New York’s Washington Square, but are soon torn apart, leaving in their wake an infant, August Rush, orphaned by circumstance. Now performing on the streets of New York and cared for by a mysterious stranger (Robin Williams), August (Highmore) uses his remarkable musical talent to seek the parents from whom he was separated at birth.

“Turn The Page” - Californication recaps

turn-the-page.jpg

Poor Karen! With just one episode left, and not much time before her impending wedding, it would seem the little family she’s built for herself is falling apart … Again. Hank’s got problems with Mia (shock!), who has stolen his book and is pawning it off as her own, and Becca’s starting to think she needs to be the adult in her little f*cked up family. For the full recap, keep reading!

“Something To Remember”

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

Oh, good God. Have you seen this new preview for Showtime shows? It’s tremendous!

Jonathan Rhys Meyers Was All Over This Weekend!

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

reena-hammer-jonathan-rhys-meyers.jpg

While out promoting his new film “August Rush” Jonathan hammed it up for the photogs at the Rome Film Festival, and then took his on-again/off-again girlfriend Reena Hammer to the official premiere later that night. While he always looks so hot to me, I’m not a big fan of her yellow dress, purple shoes and red wrap. Pick one color and stick with it!

Who’s excited for the return of The Tudors next April? They’re already showing previews!

L Word Season 4!

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

l-word.jpg

Just a quick reminder (and thanks to TV on DVD for reminding me!) that tomorrow as soon as stores open you can get yourself The L Word Season 4 on dvd! That is, if you didn’t pre-order it. Not that I would know anything about that.

Be sure to pick it up fast, too, because there’s only two months before the fifth season begins, and before long I’ll be posting reminders daily, as well as trivia and discussing the inner-workings of Bette and Tina’s relationship, how much everyone loves Alice, and if Carmen will come back already. Not to mention in depth analysis on my loathing of Jenny.
