ep105_vidpic.jpg

Nothing stays fine for long on The Hill, and between softball games, bar-buying, garbage issues (forever and ever it seems) and the whole of the Caffee family finding themselves in job flux, this episode shows the downward slope of the family in a whole new light.

Mary Louise Parker Relies On Her Nannies

Thursday, October 18th, 2007

mlp1.jpg

There’s been some talk swirling around this picture today. Before I address it, I want to point out just how stinkin’ cute her little daughter Ash is!

mlp2.jpg

Now for the controversy. This pair of pics was snapped recently (supposedly on the same day … notice the clothing) of Mary Louise Parker and her kids, and their nanny. While Parker occupies herself on the phone, her nanny is left to care for both young children.

Here’s the deal, though. You can’t tell from these pictures if they were taken during the same outing, or if she was that inattentive the entire trip. In both pictures you can only see one of her children, leading me to believe there had to have been at least one other person there watching the children, or these pics were snapped at different times during the day.

Either way, to critique someone’s parenting (especially on a day when Britney loses custody … again) is just ludicrous!

Remember Jenny’s hot husband from the first season of the L Word? Well, since leaving the show he’s been wowing prime time audiences on Ugly Betty. I keep forgetting to remind you all to tune in to watch as he continues to support gays on tv (no, he’s not playing a gay character)!

On Ugly Betty Eric plays Daniel Meade, the brother of Alexis Meade (played by Rebecca Romijn), and Alexis is a post-op transsexual. Awesome! Tune in Thursdays at 8pm to catch him in all his sexy glory!

season-two-ep-3.jpg

Life’s been getting more and more interesting for Dexter every day. Not only is his secret burial ground not so secret anymore, his very own sister is on the task force hunting him! Doakes is still the only one on the force that thinks Dex might not be all he’s cracked up to be, and Rita’s laying down the law where 12-step programs are concerned. How does Dexter cope? Murder, natch!

ep104_vidpic.jpg
A raid on Rose’s house has the whole family at each other’s throats as the attention threatens to undo everything they’ve all been working towards. In the end they all seem to work it out, although their peace is a surface bandaid, with the wounds below begging to be let out, and I can’t wait for the blowout that happens when they do!

ep103_vidpic.jpg

Never a day without problems for Tommy, there’s a garbage strike all over The Hill, and people are reacting in various ways. Some are hiding their trash in their garages, others are just leaving it out on the curb, while the union workers are dumping trash on what looks like the lawn of the mayor in order to get their point heard. He heads to where the union is protesting after meeting with more investors at the abandoned warehouse. He meets with the mayor and tries to strike a deal with him to get the workers back in their trucks and the garbage picked up, but the mayor’s asking for much more than Tommy thinks he can get the unions to agree to. To make matters worse, people are taking matters into their own hands when non-union workers try to go door to door and collect people’s trash for a few extra bucks. Tommy and Eileen head off to the Fitzgerald’s house for dinner, and they also get to meet several congressmen and government leaders.

“Release The Hounds” - Weeds recap

Tuesday, October 9th, 2007

ep-9.jpg

Just because life seems to be getting back to some semblance of normal for Nancy, it doesn’t mean the shit isn’t still hitting the fan on a daily basis in the Botwin household and Agrestic proper. For starters, Nancy still has her boob in the mammogram machine while talking to Valerie. The pair head off to grab some coffee and while it doesn’t go well at least Nancy begins to realize her behavior isn’t normal and vows to change it. Later that evening, Valerie shows up at Nancy’s house and the pair agree to meet for dinner the next night.

“Genesis 27:29″ - Brotherhood Season 1

Monday, October 8th, 2007

ep102_vidpic.jpg

This second episode of Brotherhood takes its viewer deeper into the lives and dealings of the Caffee brothers, their families and the rest of The Hill. From shady dealings by Tommy to hostile takeovers by Michael, no Brotherhood episode would be complete (I’m fast to learn) without a twist at the end to keep you guessing.
