SyncTV To Partner With Showtime!

Thursday, November 29th, 2007

sync_tv_thumb.png

The newest addition to the web-based tv show industry, SyncTV is slated to offer television shows in DVD quality, and with surround sound! They’ll be offering subscriptions (instead of paying the almost $2 per episode like Itunes), and will offer a back-catalog so you can watch every episode of every season of your favorite shows.

Why do I sound like an advertizement for the company? Because they’ll be offering a full range of Showtime shows on their site (unlike other download sites)! You’ll be able to see Dexter, Brotherhood, The L Word and more! And they’re currently looking for Beta testers to give it a go. It sounds like it will eventually work like Itunes, letting you download the episode and then giving you the option to watch it on your pc, your cell phone, etc. Right now you can just watch it on your computer, but it’s already compatible with pc’s, macs, and Linux PCs!

Might be worth checking out if you’re like me and watch TOO MANY television shows! I’m just wondering how fast after the show airs you’ll be able to get it on your computer?

Spotlight On: Lila/Jaime Murray

Wednesday, November 28th, 2007

jaime-murray-1.jpg

Lila is the turbo-charged sexy sponsor of Dexter on Showtime, and has become a fan favorite over a matter of weeks with her scheming and seduction. Singlehandedly sexing up the serial killer’s world, Lila has been a breath of fresh air, a force to be reckoned with, and now a thorn in Dexter’s side. Played by Jaime Murray, Lila is definitely the character fans love to hate.

Dexter Is Breaking Records!

season-two-ep-3.jpg

Dexter is giving people all across the US reasons to not miss the shows that have gone on hiatus since the writers strike.

(Side note - Showtime shows are safe for a number of months still, as they film many months in advance. So no worries on Dexter, The L Word, and many others, airing on time.)

Attracting over one million viewers several weeks in a row, this last episode broke the record for being the single most watched show in the network’s history! Congrats to Dexter and the network as a whole for this huge milestone!

A Conversation With William Decoff

Monday, November 26th, 2007

william-decoff.jpg

The actors of Brotherhood have been more than generous with their willingness to sit down and talk with me about their experiences on the show, their love of acting in general, and so much more. Last week, I had the opportunity to interview William Decoff, who plays Officer Walsh on the show’s second season. He has a lot to say about acting, life, and Ethan Embry (who he worked closely with on the show)!

Jonathan Wants Co-Stars To Get Naked Without Whining!

Sunday, November 25th, 2007

jonathan-1.jpg

Getting slammed in the media repeatedly has obviously taken its toll on this young actor, and he’s started lashing out at anyone and everyone in his path. This time, he’s taking his frustration out on his female costars, letting them know their bitching about getting naked? It’s not appreciated.

“I can’t stand actresses who won’t take their clothes off. It drives me nuts. I want to cut their ears off. If it says in the script you’re naked, be naked, instead of moaning and saying, ‘I really don’t want to show my t**s, I don’t want to show my arse.”

I guess I sort of agree with this one. I’d assume you’d know going into a role if you’re going to have to get naked (whether it be a bit or a lot), so signing up for something and then complaining later about it? Seems pretty wimpy to me. I’m betting is costars don’t like him getting all bitchy like that, though.

Kate Moennig Heads To The Big Screen!

Friday, November 23rd, 2007

katherine_moennig.jpg

Everyone loves to drool over Kate Moennig on the L Word, and now we’ll all get the chance to do so in a movie theater as well! Set to start filming her first starring role in a movie this March, Kate will be in indie thriller “Remorse”.

Not much is known about the movie, but the director is first-timer Quinn Saunders, and Kate’s co-star is Eion Bailey (Band Of Brothers). Here’s hoping it moves through filming and post-production fast, because I’d love to see Kate in a theater near me before the end of 2008!

Lesbian Hair Lowdown at After Ellen

Thursday, November 22nd, 2007

In one of the funnier posts I’ve read in awhile, Dorthy Snarker over at After Ellen runs down the latest in lesbian hair trends, channeling some of the greats (and some of the not-so-greats), using mostly straight models and an awesome rating system.

My favorite?

Between Now and Sunday …

Thursday, November 22nd, 2007

thanksgiving.jpg

Just popping in to let everyone know posting will be a bit scarce between now and Sunday night. I’ve got family in town, so I won’t be up on any new news that comes up most likely.

I’ve got a few show reviews set to post during this time, as well as some updates and such the good people at Showtime have sent me, but I won’t be posting anything of “breaking” news until Sunday night (like, JRM’s drinking binges).

I hope everyone has a great thanksgiving here in the States!
