New Year’s Resolutions

Monday, December 31st, 2007

Every girl’s gotta have some New Year’s Resolutions, and the women of The L Word are no exeption. After the jump, you’ll find all the ones I could find (just five so far, but I’m betting there’ll be more)! I know, I’m awesome.

L Word Season 4 Marathon Starts Tomorrow!

Sunday, December 30th, 2007

season-5.jpg

That’s right people, Showtime is giving us what we all want (and what some of us are already giving ourselves … cough). They’re starting an L Word marathon tomorrow night! Starting on New Year’s Eve they’ll show two episodes back-to-back every evening starting at 9pm (I’m assuming EST), with the season four finale airing at 8pm on January 1, just before the fifth season premieres! That means by the time the fifth season starts you can have seen every episode from last season one more time, catching up completely before the new episodes start!

And to go along with them, I’ll be posting links to each of season four’s reviews so you can read what I had to say right along with the episodes themselves!

Five Things For Season Five

Sunday, December 30th, 2007

I love this video, featuring most of the cast members and writers, asking what five things we’ll get to see this year in the fifth season of The L Word. Giggle fits, oil wrestling, pot brownies and tons of sex make the list. What are you most looking forward to seeing?

My Address

Thursday, December 27th, 2007

Kate Moennig helped to film a five-part series on homeless GLBTQ youth that was posted to Our Chart back in April, and somehow I missed hearing about it! Bad blogger, no cookie.

Anyhow, because it’s amazing and because I’m still caught up re-watching all of Season 4 of The L Word (which I got for Christmas, thankyouverymuch), here’s each of the five parts of the series.

Rose Rollins Heading To Atlanta!

Wednesday, December 26th, 2007

15.jpg

If you live near or in Atlanta, you’ll want to make your way to The Park Tavern on December 29 for their annual Foreplay party. Rose will be there helping to recruit new members to Our Chart, the online networking site spawned from Alice’s famous chart on The L Word. While at the party you’ll get to enter to win all-access passes to Dinah 2008 as well as preview the new season’s premiere episode! That’s a day earlier than it will be shown on Our Chart, even!

If you head down there, be sure to snap some pictures and let me know you’ve got them. I’d love to add them to the blog so others can experience the fun (and I’ll of course give you full credit)! Any comments about the evening would be appreciated as well!

Dex and Deb A Couple?!

Wednesday, December 26th, 2007

deb-and-ex.jpg

Page Six is reporting Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter may be dating! On-screen the pair play Dexter and Deborah Morgan, so they spend tons of time together. And Hall filed for divorce from his wife just under a year ago, so it’s nice to see him back to dating. But his sister?!? I know it shouldn’t creep me out, but it sort of does. Just a little bit.

This isn’t the first time Showtime actors have taken an on-screen pairing and turned it into an off-screen romance. Weeds co-stars Mary Louise Parker and her on-screen deceased husband Jeffery Dean Morgan were paired up for some time, although they’ve since gone their separate ways.

A Few Tudors Teases

Sunday, December 23rd, 2007

Just because I love you all, here’s a few teasers from the second season of The Tudors. While they still haven’t released an official air date yet, I’m assuming it’ll be back in April, as that’s when it aired last year. Who else is super excited for Henry’s antics to come back to our televisions?!

Happy Holidays!

Friday, December 21st, 2007

Well, it’s that time of year folks. I’m signing off the internet for a few days to spend some time knitting up last-minute holiday gifts and bake a million cookies, and generally enjoy the holidays with family and friends. I’ll be back next Wednesday with tons of new gossip for you, plus maybe a few stories from my holiday adventures! Hope you and yours have a good few days off, and we’ll see you in about a week!

Golden Globes Nominations Rundown

Tuesday, December 18th, 2007

I’ve been seriously slacking in getting this posted! Here’s a rundown of all the nominations our beloved Showtime shows and actors have received in the Golden Globes this year! Congrats to all!

The Tudors - Best Television Series (drama)

Michael C. Hall - Best Performance By An Actor In A Television Series (drama)

Jonathan Rhys Meyers - Best Performance By An Actor In A Television Series (drama)

Californication - Best Television Series (comedy or musical)

Mary-Louise Parker - Best Performace By An Actress In A Television Series (comedy or musical)

David Duchovney - Best Performace By An Actor In A Television Series (comedy or musical)

Jason Isaacs, The State Within - Best Performance By An Actor In A Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made For Television

Jonathan Rhys Meyers Back On The Market?

Tuesday, December 18th, 2007

rhys_myers.jpg

If the tabloids are to be believed, Jonathan is back on the market. He and girlfriend Reena Hammer have had a tumultous relationship from the start, and rumor has it the pair have finally called it quits. This means Meyers will be looking for new living arrangements, as the pair had been residing in her London flat.

With all that he’s been going through lately, I’m hoping the breakup is good for him. Reena was much younger, and she was extremely jealous of his on-screen sex scenes with beauties like Natalie Dormer and Scarlett Johanson. Those things come with the territory of dating an actor, and if she wasn’t up for it, then they’re better off not together.

One way he’s trying to get his act back together? A personal trainer is whipping him into shape at the gym. Hot!

Jason Isaacs Gets Golden Globe Nod

Monday, December 17th, 2007

state_within_generic_wt_r_1.jpg

While Brotherhood didn’t take home any nominations for it’s amazing show, Jason Isaacs (Michael Caffey, Lucious Malfoy!) was given the nod for Best Lead Actor In A Series for his work on “The State Within”. I’ve never seen the show, but here’s a description, thanks to Malfoy’s Grandma:

“The story-line, of having lost his only true love, a beautiful young woman married to his best friend who was killed in political strife, is a good one, very touching to see Jason and his former friends and to see his reaction as they are assassinated. One dies in his arms, very touchingly, and we know this was the brother of Jason’s lover. As the details of her death are revealed and the only witness murdered by a corrupt state governor, Jason falls in love with a young woman of ardent liberal politics, and must keep her too from being murdered by the same corrupt, heartless, wickedly powerful plotters who deal out mayhem and murder at will simply to gain more power! All very intriguing, if a bit hard to follow because it is packed tightly into the series.”

Sounds fantastic, and I’ll be adding this to my Netflix account immediately. Good luck to Jason!
