I love that the stars of The L Word take time out for these podcasts! Here’s one from Leisha Hailey.
With not much to go on, Kate French is another one of those elusive actresses the L Word finds and propels to super-stardom. They did it with Sarah Shahai (second and third seasons) and I’d stake this site on the same sort of rise for Kate. Introduced in the fourth episode, Kate plays Niki, an actress known more for her looks than her chops on screen, Niki desperately wants to star in Jenny’s first movie. She auditions for the part of Jesse in Lez Girls, and while everyone else loves her, she has to do some fast convincing to get Jenny to feel the same way.
In real life, Kate French doesn’t seem to be much like her character. She grew up in New Jersey and Long Island in a family of six, with both her parents in the fashion industry (models) and her step father a photographer. Beauty must have come naturally to her, as she modeled before deciding to take on acting. Her resume isn’t that large, however. After a bit role in Accepted, Kate moved on to television, holding her own in 50 episodes of Wicked Wicked Games and three episodes of South Of Nowhere.
Elusive like Nicola Anderson, there’s not much bio info on her other than this. And so I extend to Kate the same offer I’ve extended to several other Showtime actors. Contact me at any time, because I’d love to interview you!
Have you been introduced to this hilarious blog yet? No? Well then, head on over and check out Your Daily Lesbian Moment. It’s okay, I’ll wait …

Back? Good.
This hilarious and innovative blog has recently discussed Jenny Schecter in all her crazy glory. But rather than just rant or rave or condone or whatever else most writers do when it comes to this incomparable character, this site gives it to you with video. From an Our Chart interview with Mia Kirshner to a fan tribute, this site (and this post in particular) has it all!
Hopefully there’ll be more commentary on more of the characters on The L Word, because I love reading this blog!
Did everyone else get super freaked out excited over the commercial for Trantasia, the new movie set to hit Showtime on Valentine’s Day? In case you missed it, or aren’t fully convinced, here’s some plot synopsis to get you excited!
Yes, this is a commercial. No, I don’t care. Watching things like this gets me all worked up for all the new shows coming up in the next few months … the L Word is most definitely just the beginning of a stellar year for this network!

Check out Kate talking about Shane and Jenny!
Back in September, Jonathan Rhys Meyers joined a protest to help save the Hill of Tara, and I blogged about it. I just got word, thanks to the folks over at Tara Watch, that JRM did an interview about it all with their site. So here it is for you to enjoy (and thanks for the heads up)!
Reviews have been written, the show has been watched several times over, and I finally got the time to check on my Fantasy Challenge scores from week four. Coming in with a decent 84 points for the week, my total is now up to 228 total points, bringing me into 18th place overall (not that I know how they tabulate that, but whatever).
What were your scores for the fourth episode? And what are your picks for next week? Mine are Bette, Alice, and Shane!
Don’t forget, you can still join in on the fun until the last full week, and for a full list of the “rules” of the game and the prize I’m giving away to the winner, check out this post.
And don’t forget (also!) about the comment contest I’m running all week!! We’re celebrating the return of non-spammed comments in style!
With Jenny starting to cast for Lez Girls, she and Tina are screening actresses to play Jesse. When one of the girls smacks the “reader” playing Marina’s role, Jenny smiles widely … you can tell she’s going to want that girl to play her! Unresolved issues, anyone??
Here’s a few tidbits I’ve found floating around the internet today!
And don’t forget about our comment contest, running here through Friday! Super easy to enter, and you could win some free ITune-age!
Looking for the latest internet shopping finds? Head on over to Internet Shopgirl, where I’ve started blogging about all my latest loves from around the net. For a shopping-obsessed, internet lover like myself, it’s a little piece of heaven!
While he may not have won a much-deserved SAG last night for his portrayl of Dexter Morgan on Dexter(James Gandolfini beat him to it), Michael C. Hall looked extremely dapper in his classic suit and striped tie. I wish we could be celebrating a win, but I’m sure no one will complain at his hotness!
(don’t forget to enter our comment contest! you’ve got until the end of the week to get your name in!)
