Last we left Nancy and Co., Shane was seeing his dead father while Silas was getting the crap kicked out of him by the bikers who want Nancy to sell their weed. How will Nancy solve this problem?
For starters, she takes Silas to see Dr. Tupalo to fix him up. He tells them Silas’ cut looks work than it is, but that it’s got to be stitched up, and that his arm isn’t broken (both good things). They have to stitch him up with only topical anasthetic because he’s out of the good stuff. While this is going on, Shane’s talking to Uncle Andy about how he’s seeing Judah all of a sudden. Andy doesn’t believe him that he’s seeing Judah until Judah wants to know why Andy’s not taking better care of his family for him. Suddenly he believes.
Silas and Nancy are back at the house and Andy’s filling her in on how he thinks Shane might just be communicating with the “other side”. They can’t take him to a shrink, because if he starts talking about what the family business is, they’ll all be in a heap of trouble. At least she’s not pregnant is Andy’s half-assed way of making her feel better. Because she can’t be pregnant because she’s not getting any. Except she is, and with several different men in the last few months, the little minx!
Celia heads to the bank to deposit all the money Nancy’s been giving her, where she discovers she’ll have to report it not only to the IRS but also the bank, so she leaves with her cash. Instead she heads over to Heylia’s to find out what she does with all her drug money, but Heylia’s not willing to train another white girl in the ways of the drug business (her words). Celia of course threatens her, and so Heylia starts to school her in how to save her money and launder it properly. Doug’s been trying to threaten Sullivan, but he doesn’t have the best sense of keeping himself anonymous with his threats, which is just going to sick the cops down on him (and the little grow business he’s helped set up).
Shane’s telling Nancy all the things Judah’s telling her, but Nancy’s still not sure that Shane can really see him. Nancy’s having a hard time with it all, scared that Shane’s losing his mind and that she’s not going to be able to help him. Meanwhile Conrad’s got the white ladies knocking on his door, asking people to keep an eye out for their missing cross. Venita shows up just then, and the lady most definitely lets her racist flag fly super fast.
The next day Celia heads to Doug’s office to see if he’ll help her launder her money so she can keep it all out of Dean and Isabelle’s hands. She knows he helped out Nancy and is sick of everyone liking Nancy more than her, so she’s trying to make sure people know that she’s not the evil one in the group. Doug discovers he’s super turned on suddenly, but smart Delia tells him he’ll get no more of her ass and leaves.
Silas steals Conrad’s gun from the grow house, and tries to get Nancy to fight back for what the bikers have done. Nancy is smart for the first time all episode, and locks the gun up and tries to convince him she’s going to take care of it. Andy meets with his one-time love interest the biker babe to try to get her to see the light in what they’re doing to his family. Maybe what Shane said his dad supposedly said to him is getting under Andy’s skin, and he’s trying to stick up for his family. After three years. He even goes so far as to turn down the poon for his family!
Now that Nancy’s got the bikers to deal with, she seeks the help of her old “friends” the Mexicans, hoping they’ll help her get the bikers off her back. The gang leader asks for 50% of her business in return for protection against the bikers, and she doesn’t even have time to think it over. At least when she says yes she’s guaranteed total protection, the type of muscle that she could never muster. Adding fuel to the fire, and more problems into her world. Didn’t she learn ANYTHING from the last time she brought a gangster into her world?!?!
At the grow house, Nancy gives Conrad his gun back and tells him she’s bought them protection from Guillermo, much to Conrad’s frustration. At least she admits she’s traded one gangster for another, and while she’s not super satisfied with it, at least it gives her a moment of peace to her world. Cutie Conrad reminds her that he’s in her life too, and he probably wants to be able to protect her. Just as they’re about to get it on, Heylia walks in!!!! Nice!
The cops, using heat seeking stuff on helicopters, have found Majestic’s cross in Nancy’s grow house!!! That can’t be good for business. While that’s going on, Nancy heads home to find out there’s a fire headed straight to their neighborhood. Turns out the fire started in the bikers’ grow field … looks like someone torched it!!! A moment of peace? Guess Nancy’s going to have to wait for that for at least one more week.
