With Deco finally deciding he wants back on the “good guys” side of things, life could get rough for Michael and Freddie. Meanwhile Michael’s dealing in purses and both Tommy and Colin have to come to grips with Judd’s declining health.

Well doesn’t Deco look spiffy all dressed up in his suit jacket and clean jeans! He’s heading into the Department of Justice, wanting to come clean on all the dirty stuff he’s been doing for his boss. Surprisingly, the people he talks to tell him he doesn’t want to do that, and then that they haven’t ever had a conversation about anything. For his own good. Interesting.

Colin’s hanging out with Judd again, and calling him dad again. Looks like that bonding is going well for both of them. Except, of course, for the fact that Judd is crazy.

Eileen wants to get a job, but Tommy doesn’t seem to happy about it. He can’t see a financial need, so he doesn’t see the point. Turns out Eileen’s already found herself a job, volunteering at Social Services twice a week. Tommy doesn’t look too happy about her making that decision without him, but so be it.

Michael’s still at Cath’s house, and after putting the kids to bed he heads out to go to work. She’s still upset about the abortion, and isn’t as understanding of his work schedule as he used to be. Turns out he’s not so much going to work as he is meeting up with Colin so they can screw a couple of women. Someone can’t seem to wait until Cath’s healed up before getting his rocks off again. After they’re done with the ladies, Colin asks him if he’s ever thought of getting into the business of selling knock-off purses as real ones. The girls they’re with? They say they can tell te fake ones from the real ones. Turns out they can’t, and so Michael gets really interested!

Holy shit the banker just got shot in the stomach, while he’s trying to leave with his kids!!! They watched it happen! Over at the jail, Freddie’s discovering he still can’t get out of jail, despite the killing of the banker. They have to wait until the prosecutors figure out they have nothing to prosecute with now that their key witness is dead.

Deco and the Attorney General (his boss) head out in the middle of the day “for a drive”. Deco doesn’t realize yet that the ride is because of his trying to turn in his boss. Because he proved he was someone that could be trusted, the AG decides to promote him, making him the newest case officer on Michael Caffee’s team. Michael’s none too happy about it, and tells Deco he’s a fuck-up. Too bad the AG doesn’t listen, and leaves Michael, Deco and Ralphie to figure out their new working arrangement!

Over at the government offices, Tommy’s told the others on their committee want him to take the chairmanship, but Tommy turns it down. Good for him.

After his meeting with the feds, Michael is having a meeting with Freddie’s crew, when the lawyer walks in to talk to the boys. Looks like Michael knew nothing about the shooting, which the lawyer can tell. And that’s when the lawyer tells him that Freddie’s concerned his wife isn’t being given his proper cut of the profits.

What’s with all the kids running around? Oh, yeah. It’s Eileen’s new job over at Social Services. She’s going to be helping Mary Kate, who works in the victims section. People who have been raped, who have had family members murdered, that sort of thing. They need help talking to the cops and finding the right services, but for starters, Eileen’s just checking people in.

Tom heads over to Judd’s house to visit him, and finds him not in very good shape, as per his usual state. Turns out Tommy’s there to get Judd’s permission to take over the chairmanship. He says Judd would still get to have control, just through Tommy. Judd’s not a fan of this, and tells Tommy it’s time for his nap, basically dismissing him. Not before telling him he’s going to the next committee meeting, though.

Eileen’s trying to get people checked in, and she’s discovering all the problems the people in her area truly have. From a woman living in a refrigerator box to a woman who has to figure out how to bury her eight year old son, Eileen clearly wasn’t expecting “real” problems when she agreed to help out.

Michael and Colin are meeting with the sellers about the fake purses, and almost immediately the guys try to screw them, upping the price from $10 a bag to $20. While Colin tries to reason with them, Michael gets so mad he pulls a gun! Colin figures out a deal, telling them for every 200 purses they sell they’ll give the guys a bonus.

In prison, Freddie runs into Moe. He’s reading a travel book on London because the cancer that was in remission is back, it’s spread, and he’ll be dead by Christmas.

Colin and Rose are finally bonding, over Judd no less, and Colin’s telling Rose about the committee meeting Tommy’s got him all worked up over. Colin’s worried about him and it’s forcing Rose to finally admit there might be something wrong with him. He asks her to talk to Tommy, get him to back off.

Over at Social Services, Eileen has a lady throw up on her! So gross! She’s in the bathroom cleaning herself up and Mary Kate comes in to check on her. She still says she can handle the job, and uses Mary Kate’s change of clothes before heading back out to keep working.

Michael heads over to visit Nozzoli, who immediately asks about Freddie. He’s trying to sell them to Nozzoli for $60 a purse, so he still gets some of the profits. He agrees, and Michael’s just made himself a business partner and a heap of money.

Rose flags down Tommy while he’s driving off for the day, and she tells him he’s got to protect Judd in the committee meeting. After Tommy reminds her he can’t do much of anything to protect a man who doesn’t want protection, Rose lets it be known she’s aware of Tommy’s affair and doesn’t approve! Sneaky that one.

Eileen’s taken the women whose boy died down to the morgue to pick up her son’s body. When the woman is less than helpful, Eileen throws out the “my husband is Tom Caffee” line to try to get someone to help him. While Eileen’s trying to find out more about the boy, they discover the state has already cremated him. I don’t know who is more horrified, the mother or Eileen.

Michael’s meeting with his federal handlers, giving up the description of Nozzoli’s hideout so they can bug the whole place. After he gives up his end, they ask Michael to sign an affidavit regarding all the stuff surrounding Nozzoli. Then he slyly asks what’s going on with Freddie, and he finds out they’re going to go ahead with their case on Freddie, which makes him incredibly happy. After he’s met with the feds he heads over to Freddie’s house to give money to his wife and talk to her for awhile. He pretends he thinks they’re going to get Freddie out soon, even though he knows that’s not the case, but really it’s the best thing he could do for her. She needs to think positive.

Back (finally) from her day working at Social Services, Eileen’s sitting in the bathroom on the edge of the tub when Tommy walks by. She’s completely torn up over the events of the day with the woman and her dead son, and Tommy tells her she doesn’t have to go back. Turns out she wants to, feels like she has to. But not before she loses it, wraps herself up in Tommy’s arms and cries and cries.

Michael and Cath are sitting in their new tv room (which was supposed to be the baby’s room) watching tv, and they’re still a little snippy at each other after the sad events. To circumvent the issues they’re having, he gies her one of the fake purses. And you can tell she immediately knos that it’s fake. Tells him “fuck you” and hands back the bag. Either that or she has no clue it’s fake and thinks he’s trying to buy away her pain.

At the next committee meeting, Judd takes everyone to task for their attempted “taking the old man for granted”, and when they remind him of protocol, he tells them off even more. Tommy’s just sitting there shaking his head, and after he tasks the first person he turns on the next one. And then he starts to lose it, in front of everyone. And Tommy’s not stepping in to help him. He’s just sitting there letting him flounder. Judd should have let him have the chairmanship, and one look over at Tommy says that Judd knows it. Later that day, Colin storms in to yell at Tommy for letting Judd go to the meeting. And when Tommy asks why he cares so much, that’s when he finds out that he’s Colin’s father.

Deco heads over to Michael’s to see him, all in a rush. He tells Mike that he wants to clear his conscience, and then tells him that Freddie hired some guys to bash Michael’s head in. Crisis of conscience my ass!! He wants to make sure Michael does everything in his power to keep Freddie in jail so he doesn’t have to go back to slumming it like he’d been doing!

Tommy and Colin head over to Judd’s house so Colin can get to know Judd a little more. But because he’s slipping so fast Tommy has to help him answer questions. Poor Judd.

Back at jail, Freddie’s being led to a room where he can talk with Deco. He tells Freddie that Michael knows he tried to whack him. And then he leaves him to sit with that knowledge. What is Deco up to that he’s plotting so hard against the people he grew up with?!
