L Word Ladies Attend V-Day

Jennifer Beals, Marlee Matlin and Ilene Chakin were among the hundreds of women that attended Glamour’s luncheon to kick off the tenth year of V-Day, an annual group of events held to bring awareness to and help stop violence against women. Spawned from the immensely popular Vagina Monologues, Eve Ensler (it’s writer) and her friends have taken the world by storm with their passion to stop the many ways women are violated.
The women of The L Word weren’t the only famous ladies there, as much of Hollywood’s elite showed up to give support. Jessica Alba was there, with her growing belly (and boobies), grabbing up much of the attention. I don’t think in this case anyone cares, though. Any attention brings people to the cause, so keep on strutting around in your pink and red, and letting people know women are still abused all over the world!
