Comment Contest Alert!

It looks like the commenting issue is fixed now, and to celebrate I’m running a week-long contest. All you have to do to be entered is comment to this post, letting me know what your favorite Showtime character is. Doesn’t matter the show, doesn’t matter if the show is even still on the air (think QAF). Just your favorite Showtime character. And be sure you’ve entered a valid e-mail address, so I can contact you.

The contest will run from today (Monday) until Friday at 5pm CST. At that point I’ll randomly select a winner from the comments and e-mail them, officially announcing the winner here next Monday.

What will you win? A $15 gift certificate to ITunes!

    Doug Wilson from Weeds. Almost every scene he is in has me laughing out loud. This was especially good this last season, which was much darker than the previous seasons.

    Wow, this is a tough one. ONE favorite character from all those great Showtime shows?

    How about Debbie Novotny, played to perfection by the lovely Sharon Gless in “Queer as Folk”? She was a supportive, albeit a bit meddling, parent and a fiercely independent single woman with a hard shell on the outside and a soft, warm core. Plus, she’s one of the few older women on TV who got laid! I’m all for that.

    Another favorite character is Nancy Botwin, played with sparkling wit by my first celeb girlcrush, Mary Louise Parker. She’s a hard character to like, what with her bumbling imbecility and complete inability to deal with anything normal in life. But, oh…those eyes! That smile! *swoon*
