Emmy Nominations

Emmy nominations were made today, and Showtime didn’t fare as well as I’d hoped, although several shows did very well, along with a few suprises. Below, find the list of nominations, organized by show and then the awards they could receive.

Weeds:

  • Mary-Louise Parker, best lead actress in a comedy series
  • Elizabeth Perkins, best supporting actress in a comedy series
  • outstanding casting for a comedy series
  • outstanding single-camera picture editing for a comedy

    • Penn and Teller: Bullshit:

  • outstanding reality program
  • the Walmart episode, outstanding writing for non-fiction programming

    • This American Life:

  • God’s Close-up, outstanding writing for non-fiction programming
  • God’s Closeup, outstanding cinemetography for non-fiction programming
  • outstanding direction for non-fiction

    • The Tudors:

  • episode one, outstanding art direction for a single-camera series
  • outstanding casting for a comedy series
  • episode 103, outstanding costumes for a series
  • theme music

    • Dexter:

  • outstanding single-camera picture editing for a drama
  • outstanding main title design
  • theme music

    • Here’s wishing good luck to all the nominees!
