“Love American Style”
Another day, another amazing Dexter episode. This installment has the police chasing the Ice Truck Killer even harder than before, as they have found one of his victims alive (although missing some body parts). And with the police thus tied up, Dexter takes some time to explore the goings on with a local Coyote (someone who brings people into America from other - usually Latin American - countries for exhorbitant prices). What he finds both astounds him and anyone watching who has any sense of heart.
With more than he bargained for on his hands, Dexter has to now complete the work of several nights in one shortened experience. This is where my personal favorite moment of the episode happens, as Dexter asks a couple he had deemeed “bad enough” to warrant his knife how it is they were able to make their marriage work and still live such heinous lifestyles. Their simple response gives Dexter new hope for his relationship with Rita.
I must admit, I powered through several episodes at once recently, so you may see a few more Dexter reviews than usual, but have no fear. With every episode as amazing as this one, I’ll have plenty to say!
