Meadowlands recap

In the latest episode of Meadowlands, the pretty little ribbon that ties the town together is starting to fray, and with each day the Brogan family spends there, the town seems less and less safe. Before the theme song has played out, we’ve seen Jack Donnelley’s body drug up from the forest where Mark re-buried it, Zoe and Tom fighting on the golf course, and Danny finding a mannequin hidden in the exact spot Mark buried the body.
For being a town that supposedly hides criminals, with the assumption being the government has set it up, this town DOES NOT know how to handle Jack’s murder. The coverup is so ridiculous anyone should be able to see through it, with pictures suddenly surfacing of “Jack” (no visible face shots, just what look like his clothes on a man about his build) having a good time out and about outside of Meadowlands proper. The pictures, supposedly taken from survielance cameras the night of Jack’s murder, are used to scare the remaining residents into never leaving again. Someone discovered Jack, after all, and the threat is that if anyone else leaves Meadowlands they will be discovered as well.
Ever the smart little thing, Zoe refuses to believe Jack left Meadowlands and sucks Tom into teaming up with her to root out the real murderer. The two begin a convoluted hunt that leads Tom to the true murderer, while leaving Zoe in the dark. How can she ever believe her father would have done such a thing, after all? She doesn’t know the truth about him and may never (will we?).
In other Brogan news, Evelyn begs the good doctor Mc Crush a lot not to tell Danny he is infertile, thus ruining her AMAZING marriage to a lying, murdering man. Silly woman, she’d be better of without him. I’ve said from the beginning that the only good part of Danny is his children, and since we now know they can’t truly be his, he has nothing redeeming left in my book. The “good” doctor agrees to lie for her, pissing off his wife who swears he’s never done anything so nice for her. I truly hope we someday soon discover the nature of their crimes because they are one f-ed up couple!
By the end of this amazing episode you have found out Tom’s secrets, watched he and Zoe kindle the beginnings of a relationship only to stifle it, learned Ormond was doing much more than just calling the cops the night of the Brogan house fire, and so much more. Stay with me as I recap some of the other interesting tidbits from last night’s episode throughout the week.
