“Release The Hounds” - Weeds recap
Just because life seems to be getting back to some semblance of normal for Nancy, it doesn’t mean the shit isn’t still hitting the fan on a daily basis in the Botwin household and Agrestic proper. For starters, Nancy still has her boob in the mammogram machine while talking to Valerie. The pair head off to grab some coffee and while it doesn’t go well at least Nancy begins to realize her behavior isn’t normal and vows to change it. Later that evening, Valerie shows up at Nancy’s house and the pair agree to meet for dinner the next night.
Meanwhile Dean’s riding around on his motorcycle and runs into a group of bikers. Despite the “om” symbol on the back of the leader’s helmet, they run him off the cliff where he stays, his body all but broken in two, overnight because no one comes looking for him. While down there, he gets peed on by several animals (the doctors later say this might have saved him from massive infection, so it can’t be all bad)!
Yay! Sanjay’s back on the show, proudly wearing a pink tank top and proclaiming his gayness to all who are around. When Tara tells him he can get help for that, Sanjay responds with, “Oh I know. This guy Stewart’s been helping me. Stewart’s the best.” NICE!!
Nancy’s not too happy Tara knows all about their weed-slinging business, and because she can’t do much else she lets Tara sell for her, although she takes away Silas’ territories (and his phone), instead sending Silas off to learn to grow from Conrad. “Go on, make my boy your bitch!” Speaking of Conrad, when are he and Nancy going to get it on?? The pair are so clearly still into each other it’s almost painful.
Celia and Sullivan are discussing a vacation to Maui, but unfortunately for Celia she can’t go because she’s got to take care of both Dean and Isabelle now that he’s in the hospital and will need constant care once he’s discharged. When she tries to sell the house Sullivan gave her in Majestic, she finds out the mortgage is being held in a dummy corp and if she sells it she’ll go to jail! Nice! Will she sell the house she and Dean used to share, letting both Isabelle and Dean into her new Majestic home, or will she begin working for Nancy to earn a little extra cash on the side?
Thanks to Doug’s childish antics upon figuring out Celia got a house and he just got a golf club membership, Sullivan has him banned from the golf club. When he won’t leave, the have his car towed. His retaliation? Busting the sewer lines that run from Majestic to Agrestic, spewing shit (literally) all over the ceremony to ring in the new Majestic/Agrestic meshing.
The hangout time Nancy and Valerie have is all full of alcohol, cake, and finally having female friends. Bets in the house are that the pair will lez out before the season’s done, but I’m not on board with that … it’s about time she has a good friend (although at what point does it all go belly up, meaning at what point does she tell Valerie about the drug dealing)!
