Rose Rollins Interview!
This morning we have a super amazing treat. Grey from The Rose Rollins Fan Blog is sharing with us part of an interview she had recently with Rose!
Monday, I was on the phone with “The L Word’s” Rose Rollins. She is disarmingly charming. Her voice is both rough and smooth. Her laugh forces you to smile even if you don’t want too. I’ve talked to Rose before and every time I’m caught a little off guard. She has … something. I don’t know what you call it…Mojo, Voodoo, “Who Doo”. Whatever it is she’s got it. During this conversation she’s getting ready to catch a flight from San Francisco back to LA. I’m supposed
to be working, but not getting a damn thing done. But who cares. I’m on the phone with Rose Rollins. Here are some highlights of our conversation.
Tasha’s Attitude
Many believe Rose’s “L word” character, Tasha Williams, has an attitude. I asked Rose about this and simply told her, “You know when black women hear this it throws us into a frenzy.” Rose said she understood when she took the role it would be an issue. She adds that she really tried to be true to the character while showing there were very good reasons for Tasha’s behavior. She believed in season five we learned more about Tasha and she laughed and smiled a lot more.
Did/Does race play a role in Tasha’s relationship with Alice?
Tasha and Alice are different, but race was not the issue. It’s more about them being very different people. Rose believes social class and money played much bigger roles. She also added sometimes people want what they think they can’t have, and once they get it it’s not what they thought it would be.
What do you think about interracial dating? Do you date men outside your race?
Rose said she has and does date men outside her race. That there are many factors in choosing to date someone, but race isn’t one of them. It’s more about the person.
Are you currently dating anyone?
She laughed and said she doesn’t like to put labels on things, but says she likes someone and he likes her. She stated that her life is going through a big transition right now, and she’s traveling a lot so could not commit to a relationship right now.

She’ll be back…! This is fantastic news! I wasn’t worried in the slightest bit, though!!! Ok, maybe just a little… Seeing as how IC can reel you up then cut the string. (I love Radiohead)

I guess your predictions won’t be coming to fruition after all. LOL Just kidding… I realize that you were only basing your prediction off of the terrible cliffhanger that we were left with.
Anyway, all I need now is for IC to give “Talice� their happy ending, then “Everything will be perfect now� (I love Freezepop)
Hell, I just love music!! And I love Rose Rollins too!

I am happy that Rose is returning for season six I hope that what ever problems That Talice are haveing they work through it and stay together and they move in together but into a house they both can aford and Alice prepareing herself to have Tasha Children and just be happy with each other forever.CarmelSensation biggest fan Rose Rollins& Talice

Rose you are true talent and inspiration to us all. I wish you continued success in all your endeavors…Not too many actresses whom we admire will take the time and reach out to their fanbase. We appreciate and love you for that. After everything is over and everyone has gone their separate ways, I hope you’ll still be around to keep us in the loop of any future projects your taking on. Thank you Rose for another great interview. You truly are an amazing woman/actress. I look forward to seeing what’s in store for Tasha and Talice in season 6. I also agree with Rose b/c I don’t think Tasha has an attitude. She happens to be more reserved and just because someone isn’t happy go lucky all the time, it doesn’t mean they have a chip on their shoulder. Again Rose we truly appreciate you and wish you nothing but successin your promising future.Talice 4 life!!

This has been an absolute treat this week! It was a wonderful pick me up after the finale that made me want to turn over, cover my head and call it a week..lol!
