seasons change …

oh.
my.
god.

so, because i was out of town and there wasn’t showtime where i was staying, i watched the last two episodes of The L Word back to back. and it all merged into one big giant amazing episode! i’m so glad things turned out the way they did, and i wish the fifth season were starting in a month so i could get back into the lives of these amazing ladies.

highlights from these last two episodes include:

* jenny finally getting what’s coming to her. getting fired from her own movie was awesome, and watching her friends all finally get tired of her and shun her was so great for me. with her floating off on that raft, i wonder if she will not be part of the next season?

* tasha gets her orders to go back to iraq. it was so sad to hear that, although the rumor mills all predicted it. and i was glad alice sucked it up and went to tasha’s going away party to spend every last second with her lady.

* dana had a cameo!! finally, they mention dana, and it was in an amazing way. showing up in alice’s apartment like that, fighting with her over going to tasha’s party - it was great that she was part of the end of this season. i wonder if they did this because they didn’t know if there’d be a fifth season?

* kit and angus get back together. we all knew this was coming. kit, despite her dabbling, has always loved the men, and she and angus made a perfect pair.

* phyllis hooking up with joyce wishnia was amazing! good for them!

* bette and jodi appear to have worked out their differences. this was a sad point for me, because i wanted bette and tina to end up togethe. but they make a fabulous pair.

* shane getting all serious with paige. i’m happy she seems to be moving forward with her life and not letting her losses tear her apart like she used to. caring for her brother is what did it.

* alice, bette and shane stealing that sign! one of the better moments in the last few episodes was them trying to climb the fences, and bette being a seasoned criminal!

* helena “stealing” her money back. i was so glad to see her stand up for herself and miss a poker night for her friends, and then take back what’s hers.

so those were my favorite moments. what were some of yours?

OMG. What a way to end the season with a bang huh? WHY cant the seasons be longer? Harumph. BTW - you should totally check out ourchart.com and watch the video of Tasha/Shane/Alice’s actresses watching the preview of the show. The looks on their faces when Dana came on the screen almost made me cry. Heck, seeing Dana almost made me cry! I MISS HER!

Alice/Tasha was beautiful and touching and if Tasha comes home in a body bag and breaks Alice’s heart I’m going to find Irene and… Well. Cry.

Alice/Shane/Bette’s heist was HYSTERICAL! It’s great how they brought back some of those funny little friend moments this season - and that one was totally the best.

Keep hoping for Bette/Tina. As much as i lovelovelove jodi, I think that Bette/Tina will be back together next season. They’ve come a long way this year in rebuilding their friendship and trust, and I have hopes it will lead them back together.

I feel bad for Shane - she’s clearly tied into the idea of ‘family’ rather then the relationship with Paige, and Paige is kinda cluing into that. You could see it after that uber hot love scene (OH how I heart Shane!). Having Shay changed her, for the better I’m sure, but she’s trying to replace him in a way that’s only going to break her heart. I wanna kiss it make it better. *sniff*

Jenny. SO GLAD to see her get some comeuppance. Cheered when Tina tore into her, and when she rant into the author again. I kinda hope she doesn’t find her way back on that raft. Even the dog wouldn’t go with her. Beautiful.

Phylis and Joyce? PERFECT together! BEST choice ever!

Helena, helena, helena. Why do I have the feeling that little theft is gonna bite her in the butt next season? Glad to see her stand up to Catherine finally, but Grand Theft? Um. Yeah.

Its funny though, as SOON as I finished watching it last night? i couldn’t WAIT for you to get your post up so I could run through doing this:

DANA! OMG DANA! I miss her SO MUCH! AH! DANA! Cussin like a sailor! LOVE IT! DAAAAAAANAAA!

It was hard to wait. *grin*

OH! and - did you catch the little confirmation tidbit that connects Papi to all the girls via Carmen? Last season Carmen mentioned the girl who taught her 69 - last night, in revealing Papi’s real name (which… I can’t for the life of me remember right now!) and it is none other then Carmen’s 69 girl,

(Thanks to thelwordonline forums for pointing it out to me. hee!)

I’ve said more than once that I wish they would just shoot Jenny into space. Seeing her floating off on that raft wasn’t quite the same, but I’ll take it!

it is rare a camera can catch and bring the chemistry between two actors into our hearts..jennifer beals and laurel holloman have that chemistry. why a writer would deny her viewers to feel what we long to feel is beyond me. bette and tina are amazing to watch and feel, learn from and take into our own lives.

sorry, but jodi i would not want to take anywhere….neither does bette…let’s get real ms. writer…and get the print straight..don’t deny or dismiss the magic of bette & tina for very long…
