spotlight: Michael C. Hall

When he’s not busy cutting up bodies and examining blood spatter as Dexter, Michael C. Hall is busy charming the pants off of everyone he sees. Which is why he’s my “actor of the week”!
Born in North Carolina in 1971, Hall grew up an only child pursuing theater and acting from the start. He’s appeared in several off-Broadway and Broadway hits, including touring as
Billy Flynn in the smash hit Chicago.
Hall is best known, however (besides as Dexter!), for his role as
David Fisher, the closeted funeral director on Six Feet Under (an HBO hit). For the five years the show was on air, he was nominated for sevearl awards, winning several.
Now he spends his time with Showtime, as the hearthrob blood-spatter analyst (by day) and serial killer (by night) title character on Dexter, a show whose first season was a huge hit and is currently slated to air it’s second season in late 2007.
Personally, I cannot imagine the show without him. It doesn’t hurt that he’s easy on the eyes, but at the end of the day, Hall is a phenomenal actor on the brink of super-stardom!
