Spotlight On: Lila/Jaime Murray
Lila is the turbo-charged sexy sponsor of Dexter on Showtime, and has become a fan favorite over a matter of weeks with her scheming and seduction. Singlehandedly sexing up the serial killer’s world, Lila has been a breath of fresh air, a force to be reckoned with, and now a thorn in Dexter’s side. Played by Jaime Murray, Lila is definitely the character fans love to hate.
Jamie Murray, on the other hand, has led a much quieter (and less violent life). The daughter of actor Billy Murray, she was born in October of 1977 in Essex, England. Appearing in a music video before moving on to British television, she’s best known in her home country as Stacie Monroe on the show Hustle, where she plays the only female in a team of con artists. Her move to American television (and Showtime’s hit series) should garner her a whole new set of fans and open up the American acting landscape for her in a hurry, however!
Not much is known about her personal life, other than her famous father and British upbringing. Even her fan site has little information about her, which is a breath of fresh air in comparison to all the useless knowledge we have about so many stars! Maybe as her fame grows more will become known, but for now this gorgeous temptress remains somewhat of a mystery.

She’s not Bill Murray’s daughter - she’s Billy Murray’s daughter.

i’ll correct it … there’s all sorts of incongruities in bios on her all over the place. some have her born in 1978, some in 1977, and they interchange “bill” and “billy”, so i went with “bill” .. thanks for helping clear up at least a bit of the mystery on this lady for me!

i’m with you jennifer … i think that’s part of what makes her amazing, though. as an actor, i mean. she’s capitalized on that so well for the character. it looks effortless!
she’s a lot like jenny on the L Word (played by Mia Kirshner). everyone hates her character, and she plays that person you love to hate so well!
