“The Two Mrs. Scottsons” - Weeds Recap
Now that U-Turn is dead and Peter is dead, you’d think Nancy would be free of most of her troubles. Instead, she goes looking for it by stalking Peter’s son and ex-wife as they try to go about their lives now that he’s dead. The obvious tension between them is palpable. Turns out Peter was a dirty cop long before he met Nancy (a man flying a kite found him in a drain in wisconsin) and his partner got fired for being party to it.
After the funeral, Nancy goes to visit Heylia and tells her she’s taken care of Heylia’s debt. The only problem is that she’ll have trouble moving her stuff now, but can work through Nancy, who then tries to make a buy. Too bad Heylia and Conrad are now dealing exclusively to the pot clubs and other large customers.
Nancy heads home to find Doug cooking in her kitchen, helping out Andy who is on set. Silas now makes more money than Nancy by dealing weed for her, and she also finds out Shane’s been suspended for three days (along with Isabelle) .. basically for not being Christians. Doug and Nancy have a brief discussion in which she suddenly becomes owner of a dummy corp in order to get $50k to buy weed from Heylia. Too bad for Heylia the newspapers are reporting a city-wide sweep on pot clubs after Peter’s death is linked to U-Turn’s.
Shane and Isabelle bond over school suspension and pot, finally. I’ve been hoping for years these two would hit it off, and their collective outsider status has finally done it! Once stoned, Isabelle lets Shane feel her boob, but turns him down when he offers to return the favor with his penis.
Andy’s at the porn shoot still, and due to his groddy toes is able to work his way into a few movies. In the end, he’s let go because there’s just not a huge interest in foot fetish porn. Andy has this hilarious moment of clarity in which he tells of the director for seeing the actors (himself included) as simply objects and not real people.
Sullivan’s bought Nancy a dress, but because she doesn’t want it he gives it to Celia. She’s not super happy to have gotten a dress that’s two sizes two small, although it can’t ruin her happiness at finally being divorced. The two make plans to celebrate later that evening at her house, and all but immediately jump into bed. In one of the more touching moments on the show, Celia is forced to open up about her cancer, surgery, and subsequent body image issues. By the way, the full frontal Celia scene? I think that bush was really a thong (if you look closely to her right hip, you can see the thong line).
While stalking Peter’s ex, Nancy discovers she works in a mammogram facility, so Nancy heads in to get one, giving her the chance to talk to a woman she thinks doesn’t know her. Too bad she does! Boob trapped in the machine, Nancy’s forced to explain herself, but the episode ends before she gets the chance!
