three episodes left!

by

Another week, another amazing episode of The L Word. Last night’s show brought some technical difficulties on my part, causing me to miss the first ten minutes or so. I missed Papi bringing Kit flowers, and came into the episode as Helena was coming home from her poker playing trip with Katherine. Full of fun moments, Leonard’s showing up at the apartment brought out a side of the girls you don’t always get to see. The four women (Papi, Alice, Tasha, and Helena) talk with Leonard about the break-up of his marriage and the coming-out of his wife, bringing humanity to a situation that to this point has been on the fringes.

The drama definitely didn’t stop there, though, as Shane’s brother and father head back to Oregon and Max finds out his mother has died. Kit is back to drinking after almost four years of sobriety, which makes me sad for a number of reasons. And while I’m sort of glad to see Angus willing to own up to his betrayl and desire to stick around, I’m not sure ulitmately if I think it will turn out for the best.

And then there’s Jenny. Jenny, whose fiction series “Lez Girls” is now being turned into a movie. Jenny who can’t seem to get a grip on reality for anything. Jenny whose life was turned upside down by Marina. Marina who shows back up again in this episode as the woman one director wants to use to choreograph the musical he sees “Lez Girls” as being. Intersting. Very, very interesting.

With only three episodes left before the fourth season comes to a close, there is still so much left unsolved. Will Tina find her way back to the lesbian fold (and more importantly Bette)? Will Jenny ever get her head out of her ass? Will Shane come out of the loss of Shay intact? Do Papi and Kit do the nasty? Will Alice and Tasha work out? Will Helena ever see her cut of the money she and Katherine have been making? Stay tuned as these questions and more will hopefully all be answered!

  1. Lessa Says:

UGH! Only three episodes left? HOW CAN THAT BE? omg. Why can’t they have normal length seasons so that I can get my fill of angst and Lesbian Love? Don’t they know the world revolves around my need for Shane? Huh huh huh? Sigh.

How awesome was it to see Shane this week though? Totally open, totally heart wrenching. I hope we see Shay back again - he was so good for Shane, she’s grown so much this season! I hope we don’t lose out on her blossoming relationship because of her loss of Shay…

I’m a fan of TiBette too, but I gotta say, Marlee Matlin is hawt! Never seen her in a roll quite like this - it’s really pretty cool. I’d like to see her around for a bit.

Papi in love with kit? That one is stretching it a bit for me. Alice and Tasha? TOTALLY cute. I’m really pulling for those two to make it together for a while. The all day bed party was fab, as were their interactions with Phyllis’ hubby.
Alice racing off to save Shane from herself was totally cool too. And defacing the billboard? awesome.

All in all, I loved every minute of this episode.
